Utah Transit AuthorityAs the Senior Office Specialist for the
Capital Design and Construction department, you will:
- Assist the Manager, Systems Engineering with developing and
implementing performance programs, projects, and systems.
- Organize and document departmental procedures; prepare
statistical reports and surveys; compose correspondence, agendas,
and minutes.
- Assist management with day-to-day departmental,
interdepartmental, and external communications.
- Appropriately handle highly sensitive and confidential
information.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for business unit policy,
SOP changes, research, and updates.
- Support and assist with related programs and special
projects.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/LICENSES
- Four years in an office setting providing administrative or
clerical support to include experience in office coordination
between departments and/or divisions.
- Associates Degree or equivalent in Business or related field.
- Must have a valid Utah Drivers License, with no more than 4
moving violations in the past 3 years. Cannot have more than 1
violation of driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or
the combined influence of any alcohol or any drug within the last
10 years.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Vehicle Maintenance software preferred.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and
PowerPoint preferred.
- Ability to pass an intermediate Grammar test.
- Type 40 net words per minute, preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including
editing.
- Organized.
- Perform basic data analysis, trending, and track data.
- Communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, UTA managers,
employees, and vendors.
- Work independently and as a team member.
- Work under limited supervision.
- Manage time efficiently.
- Prioritize job assignments; maintain maximum flexibility in
daily activities.
- Handle urgent and emergency requests as needed.
- This job requires regular and predictable attendance.- OR -An
