Intermountain Healthcare invites applications for the role of Medical Assistant in our Family Medicine department. This position plays a pivotal role in providing direct and essential health care support under the supervision of qualified Family Medicine practitioners. Located in Utah, our organization is dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services and fostering a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will assist in the examination and treatment of patients, managing clinical duties to enhance the efficacy of patient care. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring efficient patient flow. Perform routine clinical tasks like recording vital signs, administering injections, and preparing specimens for laboratory testing. Manage patient documentation to ensure accuracy and confidentiality while complying with healthcare regulations. Educate and communicate with patients on treatment plans and healthcare maintenance under physician direction. Maintain clinical supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to perform clinical tasks including injections, EKGs, and phlebotomy Effective time management and organizational skills Adept at maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is highly preferred.
